The Queen and Thamesmead

On 6 February 2022 Her Majesty The Queen became the first British monarch to celebrate 70 years on the throne with events planned throughout 2022 to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee. 

We have brought together a collection of related items including Her Majesty’s visit to Thamesmead (in May 1980), two pictures taken by George Plemper of the Silver Jubilee (1977) whilst pictures of the Golden Jubilee (2002) celebrations feature in the Grapevine newsletter.
